Departmental inquiry to be conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India against two auditors of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, namely Subramani
Gopalkrishnan and Talluri Srinivas in the multicrore Satyam fraud case.

Supreme Court issued notices to the Central Government and Delhi Government in
relation to the brutal police action against yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his followers at
Ramlila ground, New Delhi.

 The Punjab government enacted a comprehensive ''Right to Service Act'' aimed at
providing citizen services to people as a right that would empower citizens to seek as
many as 67 services.


Delhi High Court rejected the bail plea of DMK leader and Karunanidhi's
daughter Kanimozhi in the 2G scam case.The Supreme court has quashed
the Delhi government notification permitting the Army College of Medical
Sciences, Delhi Cantt to provide 100 per cent fees exemption to the wards
of only army personnel.

 A complaint filed in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) alleging Baba
Ramdev's call for raising an independent army of 11,000 men an anti-national act,
amounting to sedition.

 Chief Justice of India S.H. Kapadia addressing the National Conference on
Mediation in New Delhi regretted that the attitude of litigants in India was
winning a case and not resolving it through settlement. “We must understand the
value of time. This is one of the areas we need to focus on how to promote that
culture. Thus, for recovering Rs. 5, people will spend 15 years in the courts.”

 The bail plea of Kanimozhi comes up in the Supreme Court, comprising a
vacation bench of justices B S Chauhan and Swatanter Kumar. A stay order has
been given.

 Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has returned the controversial draft report on
2G spectrum allocation scam, prepared by the chairman of Public Accounts
Committee (PAC), Murli Manohar Joshi.
